Robey Shows his Stuff in Gainesville

Last summer, the 5-9, 165-pound Nickell Robey was one of the most impressive players to make it to camp in Gainesville. Now, the ultra dimensional athlete had his sights set on equaling that performance when he camped with the Gators again today.

Nickell Robey, from Frostproof High School, plays all over the field, including running back, wide receiver, safety and corner.

"I came up last night with my mom and dad and we stayed the night so we could get up early and be at The Swamp," Robey said. "We got over there about 8:00 a.m. this morning. I did not do one-on-ones or anything like that but worked on things showing my ball skills, footwork and defensive back skills. After I did that stuff, I went and did some wide receiver type drills for Coach Meyer and Coach Gonzales. I did great and I think they liked what they saw today. I spent a good amount of time with the coaches and especially Coach Strong and he was glad get got to see me work again in person."

Robey will be in Tennessee Friday and Saturday and has a trip planned for Notre Dame on June 30.
