Full Look at the Gator Board

The Florida Gators are off to a fast start to the 2010 recruiting season with 15 verbal commitments. There are six offensive players and eight defensive players with one athlete. The projected numbers suggest that the Gators could go as high as 27 players this season. This is what the current class looks like at this time.

Here is my top 20 of who I feel are the most important players remaining, minus a couple of surprises. Surprises in my opinion are players that have gone public but continue to contact the staff and will continue to visit. I obviously can't say for sure if they indeed make the visit but since they are telling me they continue to reach out to the Florida staff that is a good sign.

It is my impression based off a number of factors that everyone on this list has either named Florida the team to beat or has the Gators in its top two. When you look at who makes up this list it's amazing. Are the Gators going to land all of these players, certainly not. Are they going to land players from this list, they certainly will. The great thing about recruiting is I get to track what potential recruits say and do over the course of 12-18 months to see how much of what they tell me turns out to be accurate information. Most of the times what potential prospects say ends up being the truth but other times not so much. One thing is for certain as we enter the dreaded summer months, time will tell.

It's Monday night once again, and that means time for chat. Form 10-11 p.m., I will be in chat with my special guest Scout.com Southeast recruiting expert Chad Simmons. Chad will be on hand to field any and all questions regarding players from the state of Georgia or players from the class of 2011.
