Two Team Race for Odighizuwa?

Portland (OR) David Douglass defensive end Owamagbe Odighizuwa sits with more than 20 offers. At 6-3 and 240-pounds, he is the No. 12 ranked defensive end in the country. He recently talked about how the Beavers had two defensive ends in the NFL draft and how that caught his eye.

I think Owamagbe Odighizuwa will be fully aware of what the Gators have done at the defensive spot the last few years in the draft. A very intelligent person on and off the football field, he carries a 3.4 GPA. The thought process has been Stanford and Florida for about as long as I can remember. However, Odighizuwa does carry a top five that includes California, Florida, Oregon State, UCLA and USC.

His mother is known to lean to Stanford for her son's education while Owa insists that she will support him wherever he decides to go. He has a very good relationship with head coach Urban Meyer and defensive line coach Dan McCarney. The lone East Coast team remaining for Odighizuwa is the Gators.

It will be very important for Odighizuwa and his family to see firsthand what Florida has to offer before decision time comes around. Even without him stepping foot on campus, I believe it's a two team race with Florida and Stanford. Oregon State a sleeper pick only in the sense that he could go out of state at the end of the day. The key will be to get him on campus for a visit.
