Crowell Gets a Florida Offer

Isaiah Crowell, a 6-0, 205-pound running back, is next in line as one of Columbus (GA) Carver's top players. With 4.43-speed, Crowell stood out enough to the Florida staff to get an offer while they were recruiting linebacker Jarvis Jones.

"When Coach Hevesy came to watch Jarvis, I took the first snap and went 80 yards for a touchdown and I had a Florida offer," Isaiah Crowell said. "I was thinking a whole bunch about it and was shocked. They offered me so early but I am real interested in Florida. I am definitely interested in Florida."

Crowell names two key factors he will use in determining his decision.

"The things that I will look at will be the type of offense and the relationship with the coaching staff."

In addition to the BCS National Champion Florida Gators, Crowell also lists Texas, Alabama and Georgia as some of his early favorites.

"I have offers from Florida, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Oregon, Alabama, Clemson, North Carolina, Duke, USC, Florida State, Miami, South Florida, South Alabama, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Maryland and some others."
