Solomon Patton, a 5-9, 170-pounder with 4.4-speed, has caught more than 100 balls the last two seasons for S S Murphy High School in Mobile, Ala. but continues to work harder than he ever has before.
"Man things are going great right now," he said. "I can't wait to get back to Florida and Friday Night Lights. I talked to both Urban Meyer and Billy Gonzales before they went on vacation so that was cool. I am working out every single day trying to get better. I work with a speed trainer a few times a week because I want to get bigger, stronger, faster and quicker. I am so ready to get to Florida I can't wait."
One thing that Patton and his family won't miss is all the phone calls.
"All the phone calls have pretty much stopped and you won't hear any complaining from my family it's been nice."
