Four-star Athlete Staying Busy

Josh Furman is the nation's No. 12 ranked safety and a four-star prospect according to Scout.com. At 6-3 and 195-pounds from Millersville (MD) Old Mill Senior High School, Furman could end up at a number of different positions at the next level but I believe he will excel at the safety position in college.

"Things are going great and summer workouts are going good," Josh Furman said. "We are building team chemistry with a group of young players. We still look like the top team in our county like last year. I'm very excited for this senior season. I'm looking forward to having a bomb of a season and I will put this team on my back if I need to.

"We are changing our offense up to more of a running offense and I am looking to have 2,000 yards plus 35 touchdowns to break the single season record and 100 tackles. Next week I'm going into summer school to boost my grade point average and to top it off I'm pretty sure after football season I'm going to make my decision."

Josh Furman registered 87 tackles, 25 tackles for loss, eight sacks, six forced fumbles and two blocked punts as a junior. On offense, he carried the ball 105 times for 796 yards and 14 touchdowns.

Duke, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Virginia Tech and Pittsburgh are a few of the offers that Furman has at this time. He is hoping to add one more from the National Champion Florida Gators.
