Bernard Focusing on the Fall

Gio Bernard is the nation's No. 25 ranked tailback and a four-star prospect according to Scout.com. A member of national champion team Ft. Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas, Bernard ended his junior season with more than 1,500 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns.

"My senior season workouts are going real good right now," Gio Bernard said. "Everyone is coming to practice at 9:00 a.m. for the most part except for a few guys that are taking some visits. The recruiting process is starting to slow down as I have narrowed my list to nine teams. I want to focus on the upcoming season, so I am starting to look at some dates for officials but I will put the recruiting to the side for now. It is going to be real exciting and I am trying to enjoy the moment."

Bernard has offers from some of the top programs across the country, including Florida, Miami, Florida State, FIU, Auburn, UConn, Oregon State, Pittsburgh, Arkansas, Maryland, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Purdue and Boston College.
