FNL Spotlight: Chaz Green

At 6-6 and 285-pounds, Tampa (FL) Catholic offensive tackle Chaz Green is one of the most wanted prospects in the country. Rated four-stars by Scout.com and No. 14 best tackle in America, Green has everything you look for in an offensive lineman.

Chaz Green possesses great quickness and excellent athletic ability, which allow him to engage blocks very rapidly before defensive linemen have a chance to engage him and plays with great pad leverage. Green has as much upside as any offensive lineman in the nation.

Green holds offers from some of the top programs in the nation including Florida, Florida State, USC, Notre Dame, Tennessee and Georgia.

He will attend Friday Night Lights later this month and has said that he would like to announce his decision over the summer. It now appears as if teammate Christian Green will not be able to make the trip to FNL due to participation in a 7-on-7 passing tournament during the same time. Current Florida commitment Jaylen Watkins is playing in the same tournament and will attend FNL so both can be done.

Both Greens have said that they would like to announce at the same time. It will be a moot point if Christian goes public to Florida State (long thought to be his leader) at the Seminole Showcase. If that doesn't happen, it will be curious to see if Chaz does anything at FNL knowing the two want to announce together. At this point for Gator fans, the longer it goes the better because with these two no news is good news.
