Orr Still Learning DT Position

Defensive tackle Leon Orr has been one of the most talked about recruits from the class of 2010. At 6-5 and over 300-pounds with a 4.8 40-yard dash, Orr displays incredible speed, agility and balance for a player with his size. Once he learns the defensive tackle position there is no telling how good "Earthquake" can become.

"I did a bunch of camps and training this past summer," Leon Orr said. "I am still pretty much the same size as before summer started but I am a little bit faster now. The main things that I have been working on is getting stronger."

Orr, like most of the current 2010 class has not set up his official visit to Gainesville for the 2009 season, but will try to attend as much as his schedule will allow.

"I will try and come to every home game that I can get to. I want to take my official visit to Florida when we have our bye week."

Orr has been mentioned in the same sentence with some of the state's very best defensive tackles and for a player that has never played the position that is very high praise. Geoff Vogt of SunStateFootball.com had this to say about the man they call "Earthquake."

"The UF commit is the most intriguing player on this list. He actually plays TE and looks good doing it. A super athlete with size, Orr's issue is that he has yet to make his presence felt at his projected position. Given his physical characteristics, Orr should be dominating games at DT. UF loves speed and upside, Orr fits that perfectly."
