Christian Green Recruiting File

Christian Green is one of the top dual threat athletes in the country. At 6-2 and 190-pounds he projects as a wide receiver but could see time at the quarterback position depending on the system he plays in.

My Take:
Dual threat standout Christian Green could find himself at either quarterback or wide receiver at the next level but projects at the wide receiver position. The multi-talented signal caller has been one of the most talked about recruits across the country. Family ties to Florida State, seven trips to Gainesville, official visit to Georgia, strong ties with South Florida and a childhood friendship with Chaz Green will make this one of the most interesting recruiting battles as National Signing Day approaches. Will the strong family ties keep Green away from Gainesville? Would his parents or family members sit by as he wears the Orange and Blue if he decides to spurn the Seminoles? Is the University of Georgia a compromise for the Green family? These will be intriguing questions and over the next several weeks the answers will be provided. I still maintain that the longer it goes the better it will be for Gator fans.

At this time no team should be discounted. The fact that he made two previous trips and will now take an official visit to Georgia means they are an option. How likely of an option only the Green family could answer. Georgia is clearly the odd team out when looking at Florida and Florida State but stranger things have happened in the past with regards to recruiting. This will be a very intense recruiting battle and right now the Gators and Seminoles are the teams to beat with the Gators holding a slight edge in my opinion.

Scout's Take:
Green is an outstanding athlete. He could play quarterback on the next level, but he is best on the edge at receiver. His size (6-2/185) and speed (sub 4.5 in the 40-yard dash) make him a weapon anywhere on the field. Being used to playing QB, he will have to work on route running, downfield blocking, and things of that nature, but his speed and playmaking ability make him a top wide out. - Chad Simmons - South Region Analyst.
