Adrian Coxson is one of the most complete wide receiver prospects in America. At 6-1 and close to 200-pounds there isn't much he can't accomplish from the wide receiver position at the next level.

My Take:
Early in the process it appeared that Coxson would take an unofficial visit to Gainesville before he made his intentions known. Unfortunately for the Gator coaching staff that was not the case as he announced his decision to stay close to home and play for Penn State. Coxson now says that he will indeed make his scheduled trip to Gainesville to see the Gators play in person.

"Of course I'm going to take an official visit down there. My eyes are still open."

Coxson is the type of player committed or not that the Gators would like to continue to recruit. If he makes an official visit things could change and change in a hurry. Countless times players have come into The Swamp only to leave with a entirely new perspective on the Gators. I think what makes the Gators attractive to him is a number of factors. The offensive style that Florida plays, ability to get the ball in the hands of the playmakers and the fact that Florida signed only two wide receivers for the class of 2009 with the late addition on Stephen Alli. Two in 2009 coupled with the fact that Florida is sitting on only one wide receiver prospect for the class of 2010 and you have a very enticing situation in which the Gators can present itself to potential wide receiver prospects.

Scout.com Take:
Coxson is not a track guy, but he has game speed and seems to get faster when being chased. He is elusive in the open field and excels in the return game. He uses his body to shield the ball from defenders. Very strong player easily beats jams at the line. Has incredible hand strength. When he goes into the air to get the ball he usually comes down with it. Very competitive player with some swagger about him. -- Bob Lichtenfels/Scout.com.
