At 6-6 and 285-pounds from Clearwater (FL) Countryside High School No. 58 offensive tackle Tyler Moore has offers from South Florida, Florida State, Florida International, Florida, Miami, Ohio State, Nebraska, Michigan and Clemson. Moore had a chance to visit Florida last month for Friday Night Lights.
"Friday Night Lights was my first visit. Iwas very tired when I got there because we had are hard work out for summer conditioning before I got there. I wasn't even planning to workout with the other players that night, but coach Addazio talked me into putting the pads on so he could work with me. So, I didn't do as well as I would have liked to againstsome of the top players, but I also realized I still have work to do to get where I want to be. There isn't much to say about the relationship yet. I only spoke with coach Meyer for a minute or two. Coach Addazio andI had a little more time together. Heis pretty intense. I plan to attend the Florida vs. Troy game, so I hope that helps me start to get a feel for both of those coaches."
Many feel that if Moore leaves the state he is destined for Nebraska and if not then he will be in Orange and Blue but Moore quickly points out that is not the case.
"Nebraska is in the lead, but I also like Ohio State and Penn State, even thoughPenn Statehasn't offered yet.In state, Florida is the clear leader."
Nebraska ties are around every corner in the Moore family.
"My uncle Vince Ferragamo played there in the '70's, my dad played there in the '80's and two of my cousins Jay and Kyle Moore played there most recently. Jay is now with the 49ers. For Nebraska, I want to see how the new staff does. Can they bring Nebraska back to where they belong. For other schools, I look for schools that have a great fan base, great football tradition, are doing well now and are set up to have continued success. The guidance will come from my dad. He is making sure I weigh all of my options. He is the one who made me go to Friday Night Lights. I am glad he made me go."
Moore is curious to see how many written offers will come in September and with dozens more on the way he knows he must continue working hard.
"My footwork and physical strength are my strengths, but I need to continue to improve on that and actually, there isn't anything that I don't have to improve. I don't want to ever be satisfied with where I am at."
