Gators Offer Four-Star QB

Matthews (NC) Butler High School will be a heavily visited place over the next two seasons as they have one of the top signal callers in America. Christian LeMay, a four-star quarterback with ties to Gainesville received his first official offer from the University of Florida on Tuesday, September 1. Mr. Stacy LeMay gave an inside look at his son's first game.

"Christian's Butler team played last year's 4A state champion runner-up in the first game of the season. The game ended the first half 7-0, Butler. However, Butler handled them pretty handily 35-0 late into the third quarter until bringing in second and third string. Christian was 5-9 with three drop balls. After the drops coach decided to run the ball more. After a slow start Christian opened the game wide open with a two big plays - a 35-yard pass after two fakes and a casual walk behind the line of scrimmage. He then broke loose on a 35-yard run after faking out three consecutive opposing defenders. Did not play most of the third and none of the fourth."

If one Christian LeMay wasn't enough there is another you might want to get to know.

"His younger brother Uriah LeMay, 6-1, 190-pounds who plays free safety and wide receiver scored three TD's in his first JV game against Sun Valley. He came close to scoring his fourth after a long reception inside the 10. Should see some playing time this week on varsity now after learning the system and producing."

"Christian's first official written offer came from University of Florida from Coach Urban Meyer on Sept 1. We expect more to come in soon."
