Four-star OT Takes in The Swamp

Four-star offensive tackle JaWuan James visited The Swamp on Saturday with his mother and step dad. The one time Alabama commitment hails from Suwannee (GA) North Gwinnett High School and checks in at 6-6 and 290-pounds.

"I went with my mom and step dad because they had never been before," JaWuan James said. "The last time I visited I went with my dad. We had a good time and we got to see coach Carter and the experience of the game was crazy. The fans were great and it was a great game to watch."

James said despite what many people might have said the Gators have always been in the mix.

"I have not narrowed it down yet and Florida was always in it and still is. The overall game experience was the best part of the trip."

Scout.com Take:
James is one of the top tackles in the country and he will be a perfect fit at left tackle on the college level. His length, flexibility, and feet have put him in position to be elite. He plays in a spread offense, so his run blocking is a little behind his pass protection. He needs to continue to build muscle and he could play with a little more determination. James has the potential to go a long way--Chad Simmons
