Gators in Top Five for Jabriel Washington

One of the top cover corners in the Southeast for the class of 2011 is Trinity Christian Academy superstar Jabriel Washington. FightinGators.com had a chance to catch up with the corner from Tennessee as he updates his football and recruiting seasons.

"We are 3-2 and I have 854 yards passing, 467 yards rushing, 38 tackles, three interceptions (two for TD's), one blocked PAT, seven rushing touchdowns, seven passing touchdowns and two forced fumbles," Jabriel Washington said.

Trinity Christian Academy will travel to face 5-0 Adamsville this Friday.

Washington has been one of the busiest 2011 prospects over the last several months.

"In this calendar year we have visited Florida in April and July, Vanderbilt for Mississippi State game, Georgia in June for three-day camp, Tennessee for Orange and White game, one-day camp and attended Western Kentucky game. I plan to attend Illinois/Penn State game on October 3 and LSU versus Florida on October 10. Looking to make it to Georgia Tech, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and Georgia before the year is over, if possible.

"All visits were good. Each school has a lot to offer. I have not talked to the Gators (Coach Bedford) much since the season started. Probably my fault for not calling."
