Damiere Byrd is one of the fastest players in the country for 2011. A 5-10, 165-pound burner with 4.3 speed, Byrd from Erial (NJ) Timber Creek High School is off to a fast start. Through two games he has nine catches for 203 yards and one touchdown.
"I have written offers from Temple, James Madison, Syracuse and Rutgers."
Byrd has taken one visit at this time to the Big House.
"I went to Michigan on September 5 and it was absolutely amazing up there. It's a great school."
Byrd stays in contact with Florida wide receiver coach Billy Gonzales and when asked where the Gators rank at this time, he responded with "number one."
