Bennett on Recruiting

Peach State wide receiver Michael Bennett is currently committed to the University of Georgia. The 6-3, 190-pound wide out has 21 catches for 277 yards and two touchdowns four games into his senior season. Bennett from Alpharetta (GA) talked about what the recruiting process has been like.

"The recruiting process has been fun and stressful at the same time," Michael Bennett said. "At first, you're not sure when and if the offers are going to come but at the same time it's fun going to different colleges and combines. I didn't realize how much attention you get soon as the first couple offers come."

What has been the hardest part about the recruiting process?

"The hardest part from me has been wondering if I was going to get the offer I wanted. I had a few good ones but I really had my mind set on Georgia and when the offer came it was a big relief."

When you needed questions answered who have you leaned on during this recruiting process?

"I had a recruiting 'coach' and I would ask him about rules and how to talk to coaches."

Looking back on all the contact you have had with college coaches, other players, media and visits what's the best piece of advice you can give to players about to go through the recruiting process?

"Don't stress about offers if you don't have them already. If your good enough, the coaches will find you. If you have a bunch of offers, go on all your visits and make sure you go to the place that feels right to you. Don't feel pressured into going anywhere."
