Fulse Staying in Touch with the Gators

Fort Meade (FL) High School defensive end Brandon Fulse was scheduled to make his second visit to Gainesville this past weekend (Florida/Tennessee) as the Gators hosted Vanderbilt but was unable to attend. Fulse a 6-5 and 240-pound defensive end can do a number of things on either side of the ball.

"We are 8-0 right now and have a big game against Frostproof and Nickell Robey," Brandon Fulse said. "We are going to try and keep him from getting to the edge. I have played all over the field this year at defensive end, tackle, tight end and wide receiver. I have roughly 10-11 catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns. On defense I have I think around seven to eight sacks."

Florida, Georgia, Rutgers and Duke are a few teams that have all extended written offers to Fulse who maintains they are all recruiting him about the same at this time.

There is another in-state school that could be next to pull the trigger on an offer.

"Florida State is pretty close to offering me I think," Fulse said.

Unfortunately Fulse was not able to attend this past weekend's contest between Florida and Vandy but it was because of circumstances out of his control.

"My ride bailed on me so I couldn't make the trip to Gainesville. I was supposed to go with one of my coaches but he called and said he couldn't make it."

Fulse was able to catch most of the game on television.

"The defense played great. The Ryan Stamper interception was a real big play in the game especially without Spikes playing. I have stayed in touch with Florida and I try to stay in touch with Coach Strong."

Fulse will visit another team that has extended him an offer at this time, Georgia.

"This weekend I am going to Georgia for the Auburn game with my cousin and maybe one of my teammates but I'm not sure yet if he is going. I am looking for a real loud and exciting atmosphere just like at Florida."

While unable to attend this weekend Fulse does plan to come back for another visit to check out the champs when they host in state rival Florida State at the end of the month.
