"I've been talking to both Ole Miss and Florida a bunch lately," Jeff Driskel said. "Coach Loeffler mostly is who I have talked with from Florida, mostly building a relationship with me. I want to have a bond and great relationship with my position coach. I want to be able to trust my position coach wherever I end up going."
Driskel attended the Florida/Tennessee game and looks to return when the Gators host Florida State at the end of the month. He will come with his mother and little brother, Jason Driskel.
Jason is a quarterback himself for the eighth grade team and looks to make the leap to varsity during his freshman season. Hagerty started the season in the wrong direction but have turned it around as of late.
"Our season started out real slow but we have won two games in a row the last two weeks and look to close the season with some momentum and a three game winning streak as we close with Lake Brantley."
Driskel has 11 touchdown passes, five rushing touchdowns, six interceptions and roughly 1,500 yards passing on the year.
"I have made much better decisions this season. The passing attempts are way up and interceptions have stayed low at six. I have done a great job of making plays out of nothing and have done real good outside the pocket. What I need to do better at is finishing in the second half. We scored a bunch of points in the first half but did not come out and finish in the second half."
Driskel is in no rush to make any sort of decision but does say he would like to have it out of the way before his senior season gets underway if at all possible. He will not try to rush to make that happen but if he can he will get it over with.
