"I had 71 receptions for 891 yards (12.5 per catch) and 317 yards rushing on 30 carries," Solomon Patton said. "My longest run was 86 yards and my longest kickoff return was 88 yards."
Patton was disappointed with the outcome of his team's first round playoff loss but it wasn't for lack of effort.
"We were put out in the first round of the playoffs 41-32. It was a heartbreaker because I scored two touchdowns to put us back in the game but they got one more to put us away."
Now that his senior season is over Patton will turn his attention to his future home.
"I have been working with a trainer trying to get my legs stronger and working on my speed and my stiff arm. I am starting a diet soon to gain a few pounds before I head to Gainesville. I have been talking to mostly Coach Meyer, Coach G and Coach Heater. Those guys are so pumped about me coming down there and being able to coach me. I mean I am so excited myself I did the Gator Chomp every time I scored this year. It was crazy because I had the whole crowd doing it with me so that's a good thing everyone supports me down here."
Patton will make his official visit to Gainesville in less than two weeks.
"My official will be for the Florida/Florida State game and I can't wait. That is going to be a good game but the Gators will come out on top like always."
Patton will play in the Alabama/Mississippi High School all-star game as well as the Under Armour game in Orlando.
