Florida is No. 1 for Riggs

The nation's No. 7 ranked cornerback prospect in America has plenty of options but is down to three. The 5-9.5, 170-pound Cody Riggs from Fort Lauderdale (FL) St. Thomas Aquinas has narrowed his college choices to Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee.

"It went real good," Cody Riggs said. "We all went to breakfast today with all the coaches and I talked to Coach Meyer for a little bit and Coach Bedford, Coach Gonzales and Coach Strong. It went real good with Coach Meyer and I told him they were already No. 1 and I told him they are still No. 1. He told that was real good and they would love to get a commitment from me."

St. Thomas Aquinas is still in the playoff picture but Riggs thinks a decision could come at anytime.

"It's between Florida, Georgia, and Tennessee. I think that I will make a decision real soon. I want to do it before my season is over."

Riggs also had a chance to sit down with Coach Vance Bedford

"Coach B spent time with me and my family last night and we had a long talk. We have a real good relationship and I like his personality. He does a lot of different things with his corners and that is something that is very attractive for me. They have three corners on the field most of the time and they do a bunch of blitzing."

Despite numerous trips to Gainesville this was his first trip for a game.

"The fans in The Swamp are crazy. They love the Gators and I was definitely blown away by the atmosphere. I was also impressed with the fans and how they treated the seniors. They know the history of the entire team and that is real cool."
