Silberman Takes in The Swamp, Again

Offensive tackle Ian Silberman from Orange Park (FL) Fleming Island is one of the top offensive tackles in the country. At 6-5.5 and 265-pounds Silberman has as much upside as any player in the state of Florida.

This past weekend Ian Silberman was in Gainesville for an unofficial visit as the Gators concluded their home schedule against Florida State.

"We arrived around 1:30. There was 18 of us, my last unofficial visit and my first Florida/Florida State game. It was very exciting. The coaching staff was all smiles and appeared to be very relaxed. I'm guessing it was because they had some great prospects about to watch the number one football team in the United States playing their in-state rival."

Silberman spoke with two key members of the Gator coaching staff this weekend, the head coach Urban Meyer and his soon to be position coach Steve Addazio.

"I talked to Coach Meyer before the game and Coach Addazio after the game. Coach Addazio and I talked about my official visit, starting college in January and our next playoff game against Lakeland."

The future offensive tackle will play many rivalry games and that was one of the best parts about the trip.

"The best part of the visit for me was the experience of the Florida/Florida State rivalry. The offense was firing on all cylinders and the defense held Florida State under 100 yards for the first three quarters. Next week's game is going to be a tough one. I won't be there but my eyes will be glued to the TV."
