Nine Gators Selected to All-SEC Teams

A league-high nine Gators were selected by conference coaches to the All-SEC teams. Florida tied Alabama for having the most players selected and seven Gators were named to the first team.

Unlike the much publicized preseason selections, quarterback and Heisman Trophy finalist Tim Tebow was one of three unanimous selections. Alabama's Mark Ingram and Rolando McClain were also unanimous selections.

Other first team offensive Gators named to the first team included tight end Aaron Hernandez and offensive linemen Michael Pouncey and his brother Maurkice Pouncey.

Three Gator defenders were named to the conference's first team defense. Defensive end Carlos Dunlap, linebacker Brandon Spikes, and cornerback Joe Haden were all first team selections.

Defensive end Jermaine Cunningham and linebacker Ryan Stamper were both named to the second team defense.
