Higdon's Take: Kenny Stills

The nation's No. 6 ranked wide receiver is Kenny Stills. From Encinitas (CA) La Costa Canyon High School, Stills is a 6-1, 175-pound speed merchant. There has been tons of speculation regarding Stills due to his recent announcement of who he will announce with next Friday night, Tony Jefferson.

Tony Jefferson is 6-1 and 190-pounds from Chula Vista (CA) Eastlake High School. Jefferson and Kenny Stills have become very close friends. The speculation is because the two of them have decided to announce together that they will play together at the next level. The fact the two of these top-notch players are announcing together does make you wonder if they both end up at the same school.

I asked myself many times why would they do this? It doesn't seem to make sense unless they were going to the same school, does it? Stills and Jefferson have one school in common that they are both looking at and it's Oklahoma.

Stills recently took his official visit to Florida and loved it. Coach Heater spent time with Stills and his entire family earlier in the week. Head coach Urban Meyer appears to be headed to Encinitas as early as Monday.

Could this be some master plan put together by both Stills and Jefferson to announce together for the same school? Could it be they are just good friends and wanted to make this announcement together? There is no way to truly tell what the reason is but one thing is for sure it will all make sense nine days from now.

I believe that Florida is in his heart but at the same time Oklahoma could be in his head. It reminds me of the way the Matt Patchan deal went down. With that situation Miami was in his heart and Florida was in his head. Only time will tell if this situation works out the same way for the Gators.
