At Least 11 Future Gators in All-Star Games

As the 2010 recruiting season comes to a close, the top high school football players will head to Orlando and San Antonio to play in what will be their final high school football games. The Florida Gators are sitting with 20 verbal commitments and 11 of them find themselves in these two games.

Leon Orr, Jonathan Dowling, Demar Dorsey, Mack Brown, Solomon Patton, Cody Riggs, Joshua Shaw and Ian Silberman are slotted for Orlando.

Matt Elam, Gerald Christian and Jaylen Watkins are set for San Antonio.

In addition, the Gators are still actively recruiting Chris Dunkley, Dietrich Riley, Michael Thornton, John Fulton and Jordan Hicks who will be heading to Orlando, and Ronald Powell, Seantrel Henderson, Ivan McCartney, Jackson Jeffcoat, Owamagbe Odighizuwa and Sharrif Floyd are heading to San Antonio.

Recruiting for the Gators should get very interesting over the next 45 days or so.

On January 2 at 11:00 a.m., ESPN will air the Under-Armour game, and a week later, on January 9 at 12:00 p.m., NBC will air the Army All-American game.

I will be in Orlando from December 28 through January 2 to provide coverage of the week's events, including the game on Saturday.
