UA Preview: Solomon Patton

Four-star wideout Solomon Patton from Mobile (AL) Murphy is 5-9 and 170-pounds with 4.4 speed. What he lacks in size he more than makes up for with productivity. Patton has long gone under the radar in terms of potential wide receivers that could be a part of the Gators 2010 recruiting class.

One look at what Solomon Patton has accomplished over the last several seasons and it is clear why several top teams wanted to land the Alabama superstar. The game is loaded with some of the nation's top wideouts and I am looking forward to seeing how Patton holds up.

Patton has heart and will that is unmatched and will not be denied when going up against some of the top defensive backs in the country. He has a thick frame and does a nice job getting off press coverage and is very quick when he cuts allowing him separation from cornerbacks.

I thought from a pure pass catching ability he was one of the best for the class of 2010 ever since the first time I saw his film. He can go inside or outside and is not worried about going over the middle. He catches everything with his arms extended and does not allow the ball to get into his pads. I expect more than a few people will sing the Solomon Patton song after this week in Orlando.
