UA Black Roster Preview

The Under Armour black roster is filled with a majority of players who have already given their commitments. Several have indicated an announcement is forthcoming this Saturday with exciting developments already taking place. Several of the nation's top recruits including the No. 1 outside linebacker and the No. 1 cornerback are listed on this team. is providing LIVE updates daily.


Phillip Sims
Three quarterbacks are listed on the Under Armour All-America roster, and two rank as five-star recruits. All three are committed to schools in different conferences as well. Devin Gardner, from Inkster, Mich., is committed to Michigan, Phillip Sims from Chesapeake-Oscar F. Smith, Va. is committed to Alabama, and Nick Montana, the four-star from Westlake Village-Oaks Christian, Calif. is committed to Washington.

Running Backs
The two running backs on the team black roster are from the Peach State, Mack Brown, five-star from Lithonia-King, and Storm Johnson, three-star from Buford. Brown is committed to the Florida Gators and saw head coach Urban Meyer now take a leave of absence. Johnson is committed to Miami.

Wide Receivers

Solomon Patton
Six wide receivers are listed on the roster, and all but one have already announced their college decisions.

Darius White, from Fort Worth-Dunbar, Texas, and Mike Davis, from Dallas-Skyline, both rated as five-star recruits. White remains uncommitted considering LSU, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Texas and Texas Tech. Davis has given his commitment to Texas.

The other receivers include Corey Brown (Ohio State), four-star from Springfield-Cardinal O'Hara, Pa., Justin Hunter (LSU), four-star from Virginia Beach-Ocean Lakes, Va., James Louis (Ohio State), four-star from Delray Beach-Atlantic, Fla., and Solomon Patton (Florida), four-star from Mobile-Murphy, Ala.

Tight Ends
The tight ends will play their college ball in the SEC. Brian Vogler, four-star from Columbus-Brookstone School in Georgia, is committed to Alabama. Travis Dickson, from Ocean Springs, Miss., is listed as a four-star defensive end, but will play tight end in the all-star game. Dickson is committed to LSU.

Offensive Line

A.J. Cann
Seven of the offensive lineman listed on the black team roster include five who are committed to play football in the SEC. The SEC commitments include A.J. Cann (South Carolina), four-star center from Bamberg-Erhardt, S.C., Evan Washington (LSU), four-star offensive tackle from DeSoto, Texas, Eric Mack (South Carolina), four-star offensive guard from Saint Matthews-Calhoun County, S.C., Ian Silberman (Florida), four-star offensive tackle from Orange Park-Fleming Island, Fla., and Chad Lindsay (Alabama), three-star offensive guard from The Woodlands, Texas.
The other two linemen are Luke Joeckel, four-star offensive tackle from Arlington, Texas, committed to Texas A&M, and Miles Dieffenbach, four-star center from Pittsburgh-Fox Chapel, Pa., committed to Penn State.

Defensive Line
Nine defensive linemen are listed on the black team roster even if they are projected to play another position at the next level. All are already committed to the school of their choice with Alabama, Penn State and Texas having several commitments on the defensive line. Penn State leads with three followed by Alabama and Texas with two a piece.

Dakota Royer
The future Nittany Lions include Evan Hailes, four-star defensive tackle from Chesapeake-Oscar F. Smith, Va., Dominqiue Easley, four-star defensive end from Staten Island-Curtis, N.Y., and Dakota Royer, four-star outside linebacker from Manheim-Central, Pa. Easley is listed as a soft commitment. He will make his final decision at the Under Armour game between Penn State and Oregon.

The two Alabama commitments are defensive ends and recruited to play the ‘Jack' linebacker position for the Tide, Alfy Hill, four-star defensive end from Shallotte-West Brunswick, N.C., and Adrian Hubbard, three-star defensive end from Norcross, Ga. Hubbard decided not to play football as a junior, but quickly jumped on everyone's radar early during his senior season.

The Longhorns feature the nation's No. 4 and No. 7 defensive tackles in Taylor Bible, five-star from Denton-Guyer, Texas, and Ashton Dorsey, four-star from Tyler-John Tyler, Texas.

Another pair of SEC commitments participating include Leon Orr (Florida), four-star defensive tackle from New Port Richey-Gulf, Fla., and LaDarius Owens (Auburn), four-star outside linebacker from Bessemer-Jess Lanier, Ala.


Corey Nelson
Jordan Hicks, five-star from West Chester-Lakota West, Ohio, is the highest rated linebacker on the team black roster. Hicks is uncommitted, but favors Florida, Ohio State and Texas. Another five-star is Corey Nelson (Texas A&M), No. 3 outside linebacker from Dallas-Skyline, Texas. The Lone Star State has another linebacker on team in Texas commitment Aaron Benson, four-star outside linebacker from Cedar Hill.

Jake Holland, three-star middle linebacker from Pelham, Ala., is committed to the Auburn Tigers. The one player not from the mainland on the roster is V.J. Fehoko, three-star middle linebacker from Honolulu-Farrington, Hawaii. Fehoko is another uncommitted prospect and has taken official visits to Texas Tech and Washington. He will visit Utah State and Utah in January.

Defensive Backs

Johnavon Fulton
Demarcus Milliner, five-star from Millbrook-Stanhope Elmore, Ala., is the No. 1 cornerback prospect in the country. He is the only five-star defensive back on the roster. He is committed to Alabama and will head to Tuscaloosa to begin his career after the all-star game.

Another player who has already graduated from high school in Johnavon Fulton, four-star cornerback from Manning, S.C. Fulton will make his announcement at the game between Alabama and South Carolina.

A pair of Florida commitments in the secodary are Jonathan Dowling, four-star safety from Bradenton-Southwest, Fla., and Demar Dorsey, four-star safety from Lauderdale Lakes-Boyd Anderson, Fla.

LSU commitment Luke Muncie, three-star outside linebacker from Spring-Klein Oak, Texas will work at safety. The other two corners are Adrian White (Texas), four-star from DeSoto, Texas, and Tony Hurd (Notre Dame), three-star from Missouri City-Marshall, Texas.

The only kicker listed on the roster is Cody Parkey, four-star from Jupiter, Fla., who is committed to Auburn.
