Pagan Adding Offers

Defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan was one of the best kept secrets for the class of 2011 but an offer from the Florida Gators changed all of that. Now the 6-4 and 242-pound defensive superstar from Asheville (NC) has added two more offers with Clemson and Wake Forest joining the mix.

Jeoffrey Pagan finished his junior season with 52 tackles, 11 tackles for a loss, roughly 14 sacks and two interceptions one going 85 yards for a touchdown.

Pagan is expecting offers from LSU, Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech, Georgia and Tennessee in the near future.

Pagan talked about the recent attention and offers from some of the nation's top programs.

"Clemson was a team I grew up liking. I used to watch Crezdon Butler play QB/DB at Asheville High when I was younger. He went on to play at Clemson and I followed his career there. It's only an hour and 45 minutes from Asheville which is nice. I like the environment and the new football facilities they have recently finished."

"It's an honor to receive a scholarship from a school such as Wake Forest. Education has to be first and Wake is known for the academic excellence. It's a smaller size school but still plays big-time football."

On pending Offers from LSU, Notre Dame, Texas, Oklahoma, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, Virginia Tech and Alabama...

"All of the above mentioned schools are filled with great tradition. I'm just thankful to have choices. There are plenty of players that are waiting for one offer and to have multiple offers is truly a blessing. Once all the offers come in and I visit schools on upcoming Junior Days I plan on narrowing it down to say five schools and this is where I will take my official visits. Just truly thankful."
