Chaz Green Liked What He Saw

One of the most talked about recruits over the next three weeks will be offensive tackle Chaz Green. Green is from Tampa (FL) Catholic High School and stands 6-6 and 280-pounds. Green was one of several top prospects to take an official visit to the University of Florida.

"This visit was different because there was a lot of guys that I would be playing with if I end up a Gator," Chaz Green said. "I wanted to hang out with some guys that I could possibly end up playing with. I did not commit to Florida but I was there to see how I would fit in with the other players and young guys. When we were eating on Friday night it was all about business and I was watching all the guys trying to see what kind of teammates they would be. I wanted to see what the younger guys were saying and how they liked it. I got a lot out of that so it was a great trip. Most of the time I was hanging out with Josh Shaw and Trey Burton."

The Green family has made several trips to Gainesville over the last year and have been treated great each and every trip and this one was no different.

"Coach Meyer was treating me like a son as well as all the recruits. He treated me like I was already a Gator. Coach Meyer did not put any pressure on me at all and was saying this is my home whenever I want. It was overall just a great atmosphere."

Another aspect Green likes about Florida is the strength and conditioning program

"The strength and conditioning coach plays a real big role in Florida success they really work hard and teach mental toughness and it's a great thing and I can see why they have so much success."

Green talked about his future plans and his plan for announcing.

"I am going to take an official visit to USC on the 29th and see the tradition of the program and see what they have to offer. They are conditioning the legacy from the past and I want to see how the new coaches fit in. I have not talked to Tennessee a whole lot lately but I don't want to see they are completely out of it."
