4-star OL is ready to work

Four-star offensive lineman Chaz Green ended the recruiting process today by announcing his decision to become a Florida Gator. Scout was there at his press conference and spoke to him about his decision.

"I'm a Gator," Chaz Green said. "It was a hard decision but it wasn't a hard decision. They treat me like family when I go up there."

Green, 6-foot-5 and 280 pounds, had been strongly considering Tennessee for awhile but that seemed to have faded when Lane Kiffin left. Florida fans were concerned about the impact of the Urban Meyer news when it broke about a month ago. To Green, it didn't matter.

"I was in shock when I heard he was stepping down but I feel like he'll be back," he said. "He's a great coach and I look forward to playing for him. He should be back next season."

The standout offensive lineman, who also visited USC and Ohio State, is glad the recruiting process is over.

"I'm happy it's done," he said. "Now I'm gonna go up and try to get early playing time. They don't promise anything so it's on me. I'm gonna work hard."

Green helped solidify a very strong Florida Gator class that ranks as the best in the country, according to Scout.
