Recruiting Roundup

Florida and Florida State are bitter in-state rivals in all sports. The hatred runs as deep as one could imagine. The Gators and Seminoles battle for some of the state's top prospects year in and year out. This past weekend the Seminoles held a junior day. Here are some prospects that were in Tallahassee this past weekend that are also looking at the University of Florida.

Pop Saunders:

"It was OK. I went with Trey."

Nick Waisome:

"It was great I enjoyed it. My favorite part of the visit was watching the highlight tape in 3D."

Denzel Perryman:

"I loved it. I want to try to get up to Florida."

Anthony Chickillo:

"It went good."

Gabe Wright:

"Went good. I really enjoyed it."

On visiting Florida: "We will see it's kind of far but probably over the summer."

Calvin Pryor:

"I had a great time at the junior day. I talked with the coaching staff and met some of the players and just had an overall good time."

On Florida: "I talked with Coach Heater and he came to my school. I couldn't make the junior day but when I have a chance I am going to visit Florida."

Wayne Lyons:

"It was pretty good and I enjoyed it. Just getting the chance to talk to the coaches and getting the feel of how they see me coming in."

Hunter Joyer:

"It was nice. I enjoyed it. ... It was great I learned so much more about what goes on there and the coaches then when I go to the games. I could definitely see myself going there if they decided to offer."
