Five-star Offensive Tackle Still Open

One of the most talked about recruits in America for the class of 2011 is five-star offensive tackle Christian Westerman. At 6-5 and 295-pounds Westerman is the No. 2 ranked offensive tackle prospect in the country.

From Chandler (AZ) Hamilton, Christian Westerman's offer list includes Alabama, Arizona State, Auburn, California, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Miami, Michigan, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Texas, UCLA, USC and Washington.

Westerman has visited both Southern Cal and most recently Texas. They are planning a trip to Gainesville in the month of March.

Westerman has great get off, quick feet and is very solid in pass protection. He strives to dominate his opponent on each and every play and he loves to pancake his man whenever possible. He is an offensive player that plays the game of football with a defensive mentality. Westerman brings a nasty attitude to the offensive line that is hard to find at the high school level and it's something you can't teach.

He is one of the most coveted players in America at one of the most important positions in all of football, offensive tackle. The Westerman family is in no hurry to make a decision. They don't have a time table to go through this process and will take their time evaluating each and every program that extends them an offer.

Christian Westerman has no leaders at this time and is enjoying the process as much as possible. Whenever cut time comes I do expect to see the Florida Gators as one of the few remaining schools.
