Rabasa on Recruiting

At 6-3 and 235-pounds, Anthony Rabasa from Miami (FL) Christopher Columbus currently holds offers from FIU, FSU and two weeks ago his childhood favorite Hurricanes offered.

Anthony Rabasa ended his junior season with more than 80 tackles and 10 sacks. He was selected second team all-state on the defensive line for 6A. Rabasa was also voted first team all-county at defensive end by the Miami Herald.

"It's going awesome," Rabasa said. "I have been in contact with a ton of coaches and stuff and just trying to get offers from different schools. I was at Rutgers, Miami, FIU and Florida State this past weekend. FSU was great. It's a great school and I loved the facilities and I really liked it."

Rabasa has yet to visit the University of Florida. He was set to visit last summer for Friday Night Lights but shoulder surgery kept him home.

"I talked to Coach McCarney a few weeks ago and was talking to him about how much I weighed and things that I need to do over the summer and stuff like that. If they invite me to come up to Friday Night Lights I will go up this summer."
