Calvin Pryor Gaining Attention

Calvin Pryor is long and lean at 6-2 and 190-pounds but has exceptional quickness and speed. He is a big hitter more than anything with a great feel for the game. He shows great burst from his running back position and has the ability to make the first defender miss.

Calvin Pryor could play either side of the ball but free safety could be the position he is best suited for at the next level. He was 1-A all-state as a running back and 2nd team as a defensive back. Pryor ended his junior season with more than 1,500 yards rushing and 17 touchdowns. He is a 3.5 student and excels in the classroom and on the football field.

Pryor has offers from schools such as Louisville, Maryland, Florida State, Stanford and FIU. Florida, Clemson and Arkansas are three programs keeping a close eye on the talented athlete from Port St. Joe (FL).

Pryor is one of the top players in the Panhandle area and is taking the recruiting process in stride at this time. He is wide open and is looking at everyone that is looking back. A great young man and the kind of player coaches look for. He is of high character, grades and has exceptional ability on both sides of the ball.

Offensively he has the kind of frame to carry the work load and on defense he has the kind of ball skills that could make him a true ball hawking type of defensive back.

Pryor is looking at the Gators and plans on taking a visit in the spring.
