Breaking Down Jeff Driskel

One of the top signal callers in the state of Florida, Jeff Driskel has 13 offers and counting. Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Mississippi, Tennessee, Virginia Tech and LSU are just a few of the offers the 6-4 and 225-pound quarterback currently holds. From Oviedo (FL) Hagerty, he has become one of the fastest rising players in the Sunshine State.

Jeff Driskel attended the 2011 Under Armour National Combine in Lake Buena Vista (FL) recently and turned heads with his size, compact delivery and strong arm. Driskel ran back-to-back 4.55 and 4.54 with a broad jump of 9.5 and managed 14 reps of 185-pounds.

Driskel made throw after throw and displayed a tight, compact and accurate delivery in less than ideal conditions. He has prototype size and the big arm college coaches look for. Driskel will need to work on his accuracy but has the kind of work ethic to get where he wants to be. He has great pocket awareness and is fairly accurate throwing on the run but is much more comfortable rolling to his right. When it's time to run he is very dangerous and has speed to get to the end zone and at 225-pounds runs with power.

Driskel has as much upside as any quarterback in the state of Florida and will emerge as the top signal caller before his senior season is finished. The Auburn Tigers have been recruiting him the longest but the Florida written offer has leveled the playing field. He is building great relationships with the Florida staff namely Scot Loeffler and plans to visit sometime in the spring.
