Stephone Anthony Staying Grounded

Wadesboro (NC) Anson is home to one of the top linebacker prospects in the country in Stephone Anthony. Anthony has great size (6-3/220) and good speed (4.58) and as good as he is on the football field he is just as impressive in the classroom with over a 3.0 GPA.

"We have started weight lifting and everything is good," Stephone Anthony said. "We are going to be strong at the skill positions but have to rebuild our offensive line but things are good working hard trying to be the best."

Anthony talked about the recruiting process and some teams to watch out for down the road.

"With this recruiting thing I'm just enjoying it. It's really nothing bad just don't let it swell your head."

As far as teams are concerned his most recent trip was to North Carolina State and five teams as of today that are in the mix would include Florida, Clemson, Virginia Tech, North Carolina and North Carolina State. The teams are subject to change moving forward.

It appeared that he would visit Florida during the Orange and Blue game but that will not take place. Anthony will visit the Gators with his coach during their spring break.
