Shazier Visits Florida

Plantation (FL) superstar Ryan Shazier is one of the most athletic players in the state of Florida for the class of 2011. A 6-3, 205-pound defensive end/tight end, he projects at outside linebacker at the next level.

Ryan Shazier has a great frame to work with that could easily carry another 20-pounds putting him in that 6-3 and 225-230 range which is ideal for the linebacker position.

Florida State was the first team to offer him but he spent time in Texas as a kid so it won't shock people if he were to leave the state. He will take a trip to Florida State on Wednesday, March 31 but spent time at the University of Florida on Monday.

"We got here about 2:30, my dad, cousin and little brother. We went and watched practice and it was real nice and intense I liked it a lot. My dad liked the practice a bunch. After practice we had a chance to sit down and eat and speak with both Coach Durkin and Coach Azzanni. We were talking about how they see me fitting in and things like that. I talked to Coach Meyer for a little while and he likes me at outside linebacker. He was telling me how much he liked my tape and he seems like a real cool coach. I liked it a lot and gave it an A++."

Currently holding offers from Florida, Florida State, Mississippi State, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Florida, Tennessee and Wisconsin this is only the beginning for Shazier. He has only begun to reach his potential. He has a great first step, plays with great leverage and pad level that allows him to go inside or outside and once he finds the ball he explodes with great acceleration. Biography:
