Fulse Visits UF Practice

The 2011 class is loaded with interior linemen on both sides of the ball. One of the top big men in America for the 11 class is Brandon Fulse, a 6-5 and 252-pound defensive end/tight end from Fort Meade (FL). FightinGators.com caught with the jumbo athlete.

Brandon Fulse is currently the No. 9 rated defensive end prospect in the country and is ranked four stars by Scout.com.

Fulse holds offers from Florida, Georgia, Duke, Florida State, Louisville, Marshall, Rutgers, Stanford and Texas Tech to name a few.

Fulse spent time with Coach Stan Drayton and the rest of the coaching staff in Gainesville yesterday and liked what he saw. He wants to play tight end at the next level and brings athletic ability to the position but could play in the trenches at the next level.

Last year he was able to put up impressive numbers on both sides of the ball. Fulse ended the season with 70 tackles, 17 for a loss and 10 sacks from his defensive end position. On the offensive side of the ball he had 18 catches for 250 yards and two touchdowns.

Fulse talked about his recent trip to the University of Florida.

"We got there about 11:30 a.m. I went with my head coach and a few others and Coach Drayton showed us around and the weight room and the school. He took me out on the field and it was good picturing myself playing there. I kind of know about the stadium going to a couple games last year and the crowd is always sold out so it was real cool. After that we went to watch practice watching them running around catching balls and playing and watching Urban coaching the team. Coach Meyer was telling me about the program and things like that and I will come back up over the summer with my parents so they can sit down and meet with him."
