Curt Maggitt on Recruiting

The Florida Gators certainly have a built in advantage with three Dwyer high school football players on campus from the class of 2010 but 2011 standout Curt Maggitt is in no hurry to make a decision.

Curt Maggitt, a 6-3 and 210-pound defensive end from Palm Beach Gardens (FL) William T. Dwyer, holds offers from Alabama, Florida, Iowa, Iowa State, LSU, Miami, Rutgers, South Florida, Tennessee, Texas Tech, Wisconsin, FIU, West Virginia and Florida State.

"Most of the schools that I talk with want me to play defensive end but some are looking at me for outside linebacker or some teams say I can come in and try both. At Alabama they are talking to me for the Jack position. At Florida I think it's straight defensive end and I remind those guys of Jermaine Cunningham. It doesn't matter to me what I play in college but I want to straight rush the quarterback. I talk to Coach McCarney a couple times a month and he is a real cool guy. I am going to try and get up there for the spring game for sure but right now I am wide open to everything and not in a hurry to make a decision." Biography:
