Michael Ferrara-Weed Player Spotlight

The 6-2 and 210-pound signal caller from Clermont (FL) East Ridge, Michael Ferrara-Weed, threw for more than 1,800 yards in 11 games last season with nine touchdowns and six interceptions. He also ended the season with six rushing touchdowns from his split back veer offense.

"I would describe my playing style as pro-style," Ferrara-Weed said. "I was selected as the All Lake Sumter quarterback and I was invited to the Top Gun for FBU. I did attend the elite quarterback camp last year at Florida."

Schools that are showing interest at this time include Kansas, Michigan State, Bowling Green, Auburn, Purdue, Baylor, Duke, Central Michigan, Vanderbilt, Ball State, Colorado State, Nebraska, Miami (Ohio), Buffalo, Clemson, Florida Atlantic, Boise State, Iowa State, Ohio, Cincinnati and Connecticut.

He is still waiting for his first official scholarship offer at this time.
