Malcolm Mitchell on Gators

Malcolm Mitchell checks in at 6-1 and 180-pounds from Valdosta (GA) and is one of the top 25 players in the Peach state for the class of 2011. With blinding 4.4 speed he can play on either side of the ball at wide receiver or safety. Mitchell gave FightinGators.com the latest.

"It's going real good I am starting to get out and go places," Malcolm Mitchell. "I sat with Coach Meyer at Florida when I first got there and it's a big big campus and sat in the meetings and then went to the practice then left. They want me to come in and play free safety. Coach Meyer was great and real down to earth and funny. They want me to come in and work hard and play year one at free safety."

"Right now I am just trying to take it all in and make sure that I get my mind right to do what I need to do. I am trying to get back down there but I don't know when yet. Watching the practice was the best part I could see myself there and like the drills that they do in practice."

Mitchell is one of the most heavily recruited players in the Southeast holding offers from Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Georgia, LSU, South Carolina and Tennessee.
