Hale Gets an Offer from the Gators

"I am very excited," Joel Hale said about his latest offer from the Florida Gators. The 6-5, 290-pound defensive tackle checks in from Greenwood (IN) Center Grove and talked about the day's events.

"I was walking through the gym ,and I was going to my coaches class and he called me over to his desk as I was walking by and he said do you have something you want to tell me and I said no," Joel Hale said. "He was acting like I was in trouble then he said I was just messing with you and then told me Florida offered me today. I went outside and called Coach Addazio and spoke with him and then Coach McCarney and Coach Austin and are all very excited about my offer and the rest of the day I was pretty excited. After I got off the phone I was very excited but knew I would soak it in the rest of the week. Whenever it comes down to it I am going to have a very hard decision. I wish I could have all of them. I am keeping all my options open but Florida being Florida they will be up at the top for sure."

Hale is not the only one excited about the Florida offer. His parents were very excited too.

"They were very excited about it then knew it was something that I really wanted. When I took my trip down to Florida all these other schools started jumping on the map so to speak. My parents are going to support me with whoever I end up picking."

Hale currently holds offers from Boston College, Duke, Cincinnati, Florida, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa State, Kentucky, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Purdue and Wisconsin.
