Desimon Green Up Close

Desimon Green, a 6-5 and 225-pound defensive end, holds offers from Pittsburgh, West Virginia, Texas Tech, Purdue, Louisville, Bowling Green, Villanova, Towson and Syracuse. From Clairton (PA), Green has run as low as 4.6 and could play both on sides of the ball at the next level.

"I've only been on the visit to Pittsburgh and West Virginia. Pittsburgh seems like home. I really get along with the coaches but they want me to commit by June and I don't see myself doing that. The other schools are being patient with that. In the future I will definitely schedule a visit to Texas Tech, Pittsburgh and West Virginia. The outlook on my senior year I would say it's very good. On defense we have seven returning starters that was the NO. 1 ranked defense in the state and on offense we have seven returning starters also. I think we have a good chance to win state with that crew coming back. What we need to make sure we do is remain humble and not be cocky."

Desimon Green talked about his game.

"What I do better than any other player is I think I prepare better than other defensive ends. I actually watch tape on the opposing offensive line to see what their strengths and weaknesses are. I'm very fast of the edge and I have an ongoing motor from the time the ball is snapped. I need to work on fighting over double teams and to not be too aggressive."

Green talked about the Florida Gators showing interest.

"My impression on the Florida Gators taking notice on me is that I was extremely shocked they called and asked for film on me and then the next day USC did the same thing. Both of those schools are extremely nice and the coaches seem cool but this news lets me know that I should be patient in this process and wait and see what happens"
