Johnson Making Noise

Andrew Johnson, a 5-10 and 170-pound corner from Miami (FL) Southridge, holds offers from Nebraska, Texas Tech, Wake Forest, Memphis, Minnesota, Florida International, Kansas State, Maryland, Louisville, Florida State and Rutgers.

Every coach in the country is looking for speed and Andrew Johnson has speed to burn running 4.4 flat.

"I have been to South Florida, USC, UCLA, Miami and Florida. Florida really left an impression on me, because of all the fans and supporters and I believe I can call it home. I plan on going to Alabama, Florida State, Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss, Louisville, Texas and Tennessee during the summer."

Johnson talked about his strength as a player and his outlook for his senior season.

"My overall strengths as a player are the confidence I bring to the game, the quickness I have with my feet, my quick reactions to find the ball, also my aggressiveness. I would like to play cornerback at the next level. I think it fits me. The only thing I feel that I need to work on moving to the next level is my off coverage. As a kid growing up I always heard about the Florida Gators, they have a great tradition and swagger, every year they have top players in the draft. For the past couple of years they have had the top recruitment class. My outlook for my senior season is to work hard during the off season and have a better season than last year, I plan on catching ten interceptions. I figure if everyone on the team comes together and have a bond we will have a good chance at state, because the talent is already here."

Texas Tech is the team recruiting him the most right now.
