Thomas Taking Visits

David Thomas, a 5-10 165-pound wideout with 4.5 speed, checks in from Ocala (FL) Trinity Catholic Thomas is looking for that first offer and it could come way of the Big East.

"I went to USF and I love the school and the campus. I really like the coaching staff and they are in my top five schools. FSU was great; my brother has always loved FSU and could have walked on to the football team but took a scholarship to Johnson C. Smith University in Charlotte, N.C. I plan on visiting Ole-Miss, Clemson, Louisville , Middle Tennessee State , Appalachian State University and Miami University over the summer. Louisville has showed a little interest and Middle Tennessee State has showed a little as well."

David Thomas talked about his senior season and what his team needs to do for a successful run.

"I hope to have a wonderful senior season and take my team to the state championship in Orlando We need to have our team work hard over the summer and get bigger and faster and get prepared to play some good teams. We have a good defense coming back but with Kadron Boone leaving I need to step up and make plays for our team. We need a quarterback to step up and be a leader on the field. Our offensive line is strong with Big Serman leading the offensive and defensive line. Our secondary is solid with Chris Juice Johnson being the leader of that group."

Thomas breaks his game down.

"I believe that I'm lighting quick and can cut on a dime. I need to get stronger and faster work on route running and reading defenses. I believe my strengths are that I work harder than anyone else and that I want to be the best wide receiver in the state and nation this year and prove people wrong about my size. I have great hands and I don't catch the ball with my body. I'm good off bump and run coverage and I love when a DB plays me one on one because this is the time when you see who the better man is. I want to play wide receiver, kickoff return and punt return in college. What I do better than in one at my position is make plays when need. I also make the big catches, run good routes, get of the bump and run coverage, and I'm just a hard worker who does not listen to critics about my size. I need to make sure that my hands get better and better every day and that I stay humble in this process and become the leader of Trinity Catholic High School that I need to be to take my school to state championship this year. I believe we have the talent to make the state next year, we don't have any I's on our team and we all work together every well."
