Rory Anderson Picking up Offers

At 6-5 and 206-pounds, tight end Rory Anderson checks in from Powder Springs (GA) McEachern. Anderson currently holds offers from Tennessee, South Carolina, Louisville, Virginia, Minnesota, Florida International, Tulsa, Purdue and Mississippi State.

"I've been to Georgia, Tennessee and Vanderbilt. I was very impressed with each campus but I was most impressed with Tennessee, which is the front runner amongst the offers I have."

Rory Anderson will visit South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia in the future as well as other teams of interest. Tennessee and Virginia are recruiting him the most at this time.

Anderson has a 270-pound bench press, 265-pound power clean and 430-pound squat. He talked about the outlook for the upcoming season, his strengths and the position he would like to play at the next level.

"We need some of our young players to step up on defense but our offense should be very explosive this year. We will also need our special teams to improve as a whole because it was one of our weaker parts of our team last year. I am physical but I can also stretch the field. I have good hands and it's hard for a defense to cover me because of my height and leaping ability. I would like to play tight end or wide receiver, whatever one would best fit me at the college level. I need to work on my speed and my quickness. I also need to put on at least 15 lbs before I get to college."
