Danville (KY) Boyle is home to one of the nation's top defensive players. At 6-2 and 230-pounds, middle linebacker Lamar Dawson is physical and fast (4.6). Currently holding offers from Kentucky, Louisville, Cincinnati, Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Western Kentucky, Texas Tech and Stanford, he spoke about a few of the teams showing him interest.

Kentucky: "The coaches treat me like family and always keep in touch with me and I like what they have to offer me."

Notre Dame: "It was a different experience and their fans really get into the games and I loved their facilities."

Louisville: "I liked all of the coaches and the facilities."

Cincinnati: "I really likes their campus because everything was so close together."

Lamar Dawson talked about his upcoming plans.

"May 1 I'm going to the Nike camp at Ohio State but I don't have any other visits planned. I just want to have an outstanding senior year and repeat at the state championship. Hopefully I can win Mr. Football but my team just needs to stay hungry and work hard and we will be successful. A lot of schools are recruiting me right now by email and calling the coaches. I just know the game of football ad like being physical. but a couple of colleges said I could play tight end or linebacker depends on which one I want to play. I just know the game better than anyone else and what I need to get done. I just want to get bigger faster and stronger."

One team that could be close to offering is the Florida Gators a team that Dawson stays in touch with.

"I like the Gators and everything they have to offer me. I know they are one of the top program in the country. Coach Heater told me he was going to come up and visit me in May and they want me to come to the Urban Meyer football camp."
