Catching up with Davonte Allen

At 6-2 and 193 pounds, wide receiver Davonte Allen from Belle Glade (FL) Glades Day School currently holds offers from West Virginia and Marshall and has visited Tennessee. Allen runs in the 4.5 range and could wind up at safety or wideout at the next level.

"Tennessee is nice. I like the environment and the diehard fans they have. I will go to West Virginia and Marshall for spring games. South Florida and Tennessee have shown a ton of interest the last few weeks."

Davonte Allen talked about his game and the upcoming season.

"I plan on playing wide receiver in college and what separates me from other players is my ability to locate the ball and make a play after I get it and also my knowledge on the field but I plan on working on my route running and speed a little more because you can never be too fast. For my senior season I plan to win another state championship but with my new team Glades Central but I think if we continue to do what we do passing the ball."

Even though the Gators have not offered currently he has a lot of interest.

"I'm interested in playing for Florida I love their program and the excellence they have on and off the field."
