Peach State Star with 35

James Vaughters, a four-star prospect from Tucker (GA), currently has 26 written offers and 9 verbals. Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Ohio State, Stanford, Tennessee, USC, Miami, Mississippi and Oklahoma have all extended written offers at this time.

"Many of the schools came by during the last evaluation period," James Vaughters said. "The eight I have narrowed down to all came by. They are Georgia, Georgia Tech, Florida, UNC, Alabama, Ohio State, Stanford and Southern Cal. I continue to get a lot of mail and e-mail from Florida, Southern Cal, LSU, Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee, Stanford, UCLA, Georgia and Georgia Tech and UNC.I enjoy the attention, but I have to start to narrow the field down to 3 to 5, so I can hopefully make a commitment this summer. If I decide where I want to go, then I can devote my attention to my senior season."

Vaughters and his family have been to the University of Florida several times and talked about why he likes the Gators.

"My thoughts are the same about Florida. Great school with great academics. National Championship potential, with a great coaching staff and the ability to recruit the best players in the country. I really liked Charlie Strong, but I also got a great first impression of Coach Austin, when he visited Coach Franklin Stephens during the evaluation period."

While Vaughters has not been 100 percent throughout spring practice he will be ready in July.

"We finished spring ball on Saturday with our spring game, with a controlled scrimmage. I have been working on my speed and agility during spring, since I have been held out of contact. I had a procedure four weeks ago on my wrist to help with the healing of an injury I suffered back in October. I'll be ready for summer workouts and 100 percent by the time practice starts in July."
