The first thing that stands out on tape is Javares McRoy's incredible speed. Straight line speed is one thing but when you combine that with an amazing first step, vision, acceleration, ability to cut on a dime and his toughness you have one of if not the most explosive players in Florida.
Many people don't realize that McRoy benches in the neighborhood of 350-pounds heading into his senior year of high school.
He has been talked about since his ninth grade season and anytime a player can seemingly accelerate from 0 to 60 in a blink of an eye the accolades are warranted. He plays much bigger than he is and can excel at a number of positions including running back, return man or wide receiver.
McRoy will play the slot position at the University of Florida. One of the many impressive abilities that he has rests in the passing game. He almost cradles the ball when he catches it as if he is competing in some sort of egg toss.
McRoy has very soft hands and because of his blinding speed often times isn't mentioned as one of the top pure pass catching offensive players in the state of Florida for the class of 2011.
